The Optical IoT Network (OIN) Working Group focuses on the technical standards for integrating FTTO/FTTR with IoT technologies, including but not limited to research on areas such as networking architecture, system functions, coverage distance, efficiency, power, and receiver sensitivity. It develops optical IoT network technical specifications and testing methods, providing technical and standard support for the WAA to carry out testing and certification of related products.

The Working Group will establish Task Forces (TFs) based on the optical IoT network technical standards and certification requirements. These TFs will conduct technical research, develop standards, and promote the testing and certification of related products.
