In order to promote the efficient and standardized operation of the World WLAN Application Alliance ("WAA"), WAA Secretariat has optimized the process of membership application, and updated the relevant materials for membership application. Starting from May 21,2024, the updated Membership Application Form and Membership Agreement will replace the existing version with the legal effect unchanged.
On February 28, 2024, the white paper "SUSTAINABILITY IN THE Wi-Fi INDUSTRY" (hereinafter referred to as "the White Paper") was released at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) event. The White Paper, drafted collaboratively by ABI Research and World Application Alliance (WAA) Green Energy Working Group, provides a in-depth analysis of sustainability issues within the Wi-Fi industry for the first time.

On March 20th , 2023, the third meeting of the first Alliance Council of World WLAN Application Alliance (WAA) elected three deputy secretaries-general (in no particular order), namely Shi Hao (Huawei), Yuan Liquan (ZTE), Wang Xianqing (Haier).
On April 6th, 2023, the first Alliance Secretariat Joint Meeting of World WLAN Application Alliance (WAA) discussed the work responsibility and division of labor of the three deputy secretaries-general.
